This video pretty much says it all. Once again, my face is a pile of goo, melted by these Latino classical guitaristas, Rodrigo y Gabriela. The last time I did this to a guitar, I broke 18 knuckles, ripped of 33 fingernails, and tore the strings straight in half.

Hello. Forgive me for not updating in a few days, my extra time has been taken up redesigning the blog. In the meantime, I thought I’d share with you what keeps me motivated. I have been listening to a lot of Explosions in the Sky and Amiina; but I thought I’d share this.
This is a really old side project of Jim…
You may already know that Stars is in my top three favorite bands. I love these guys. Every disc they put out just keeps getting better.
Last year they put out “Up In Our Bedroom After The War” which represented a slightly different sound for them. A sound, that I love. Well, one of my favorite songs off that disc, “Bitches in Tokyo” has just been…
For all you Coldplay haters, eat it. Their new disc, “Viva La Vida and Death to All His Friends” just released today. This album is really, really good. Heads and shoulders above X&Y. I’m honestly not a Coldplay…

It starts out with some calm intro space keyboard…
At first, I wasn’t sure if I could dig this song because of the first five seconds of the song. Normally, guys with this style voices aren’t my thing. A bit too indie. Although, I will say his voice does sound a bit like Spoon and I dig Spoon.
But, I’m thinking this song rules. Anyone ever heard these guys? It’s a really cool mix between some…
No way. How did I miss these guys?! I’m way late in the game; but I love it.
My coworker Steph just told me about a band that I’m absolutely stoked about: Mew. These guys are from Denmark and rock it. So, there music wasn’t released in the US until much later; but the CD I just purchased (not on iTunes) is…
