Copeland is coming out with a new album, “You Are My Sunshine” and they just put up a track off that disc on their MySpace page. It’s amazing. It’s called “The Grey Man.” Go check it out.
I also just found out they’re putting out a DVD with the new disc!
It’s finally happened. Digital music has finally become “mainstream.” Lookout Apple! Myspace signed a deal with Warner Music Group, Sony BMG, the Universal Music Group, and most likely EMI will soon join the ranks. With CD sales suffering 10-25% losses over the last few years, this is the most visible recognition to-date of a need for a shift from the record label giants.

So after purchasing the album, I think it lacks a bit of punch. I still like it, and it’s growing on me; but it’s not as good as the last few albums. They’ve chilled it out a bit…
Keane has a new album coming out called “Perfect Symmetry” and I’ve only heard 30 seconds of one track, and it sounded…well, not good. I think I’m also being negatively influenced by the horrible 80′s MySpace design–and the release of their album artwork. None of which I like (I happened to mostly hate 80′s art of any kind); but that’s ok…because I’m not in the band.
Anberlin keeps pumping out the music. Their new Album, “New Surrender” arrives September 30th. While I’m excited to hear it, I’m a bit worried for a few reasons.
1) They are being produced by Neal Avron (Fall Out Boy, Yellowcard, New Found Glory). All of those bands I don’t like, and none of them really fit with Anberlin’s sound, in my opinion. That doesn’t mean they’ll …

Matt Harding decided to quit his job and travel the world where he began shooting videos of himself doing a little dance in front of monuments. He started a website called “Where the Hell is Matt” and became famous thanks to his videos–so famous, in fact, that Stride Gum proceeded to sponsor his next tour…
Noisetrade was an initiative started by Derek Webb. It’s slogan is “Faretrade music” and I believe that it was started in conjunction with Webb’s new album, “The Ringing Bell.”
