11 Great Indie Christmas Tunes

music is for lovers: Latest post

Well, it’s almost Christmas! What would Christmas be without great music? And what would indie music be without whining depression infiltrating the Christmas spirit? This Christmas, I set out to collect some good Christmas tracks that don’t make me wanna drive off a bridge (Clarence! I want my life back!), and here they are…

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this: NPR’s amazing Christmas Jingle station.

So have you thought about updating this post for the approaching festivous season of glad tidings and gozo? I dunno, you could name it something like, "Chambers´ annual christmas round-up o algo así? I mean "round-up" sounds a bit down on the farm for you but i mean like basically the idea more or less kind of thing you know?!Creo que sería bueno, pero como quieras. ps. I adore you.
  • @Samantha: Thanks! That seems like a good track, I just might pick it up.

@Kevin: Thanks for posting! I'm gonna give it a listen at work tomorrow.
  • If I could be so bold as to plug our new Christmas album consisting of 17 original songs from lots of new indie bands from all over the world including the Cloud Room, Idaho, Jape and the Very Most. http://www.indiecater.com is where you can listen to it all. We think it’s great but then we are biased and obsessed with Christmas.
  • I am a big fan of Phantom Planet's Carol of the Bells http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/...

Great post, I can't wait to add these songs to my 24/7 Christmas playlist
