Balun

I recently discovered these guys: Balun. So far, I think I’m digging it. I’m always down for finding new instrumental driven bands (Ratatat, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky), and especially electronic based music. They do sing on some songs…and I don’t really like those tracks as much. If done well, this type of music can be the most fascinating music to listen to. It is the perfect music to take a walk to, or just sit and think.

These three guys and a girl are based in Chicago and by the sounds of it, their main instrument is an accordion. I hate accordions. But, this works.

I also got a free download of Be Careful When You Walk that I’m not a big fan of–the second half of the song is better than the first.
